On the day marking the 82nd anniversary of Captain Salgueiro Maia (01/07/1944), and within the scope of the recent conservation intervention on the bronze sculpture by Jorge Coelho, located at Praceta Salgueiro Maia, the Museum of Lagos proposes a journey through the creation process of a sculptural piece — from the clay model to bronze — through the traditional lost-wax casting technique. An opportunity to clearly and engagingly understand how these works are born and how they can be preserved for the future.
