The mission of the Municipal Galleries of Loulé transcends the mere exhibition of artists, whether emerging or established. The commitment to the school community is a structural pillar of our identity, materialized in mediation activities, workshops, and the appreciation of young talent — as demonstrated by the solid partnership with the Laura Ayres School Group in Quarteira.

For the 2026 edition, under the theme “MEMORY,” students from this Group were challenged to explore the intersection between individual recollection and technical knowledge. More than an exercise in nostalgia, these works revisit personal and collective memories — sometimes fragmented or invented — to question and reinterpret the past in light of the present. The result is a celebration of artistic freedom and the creative journey of these young artists.
