Exhibition "Ombrófobo" | Finalists of the Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts
On the next June 19, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the inauguration of the exhibition "Ombrófobo" will take place at the Convento de Santo António, in Loulé.
The exhibition presents the final projects and artistic investigations developed by the graduating students of the Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Algarve.
The title "Ombrófobo" was chosen by the students themselves to ironically evoke a collective experience during their academic journey, marked by the invasion of water in their workspace, transforming an adverse episode into a source of inspiration, creativity, and resilience.
The exhibition brings together a diverse set of artistic expressions, reflecting the skills acquired over three years of the course, in the areas of Art History, Aesthetics, artistic technologies, and experimentation developed in the Visual Arts Laboratory.
The works presented include painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, illustration, photography, video, and multimedia installation, highlighting the plurality of languages and perspectives of the young artists.
The exhibition is an invitation to the community to discover the talent and creativity of this new generation of creators, who are now beginning their professional journey in the field of visual arts.
The exhibition will be open to the public until July 17, 2026.
