On June 19, the University of Algarve will host, at the Gambelas Campus, the first edition of the Animal Congress. This event, organized by Benfazer with the support of UAlg, aims to contribute to the professionalization of the animal cause in Portugal, uniting knowledge, compassion, and activism.
Program
The congress focuses on technical and ethical training through various fronts. You can choose to participate in sessions such as:

Legal Training: Legal tools for the defense of animals.
Management and Strategy: Public funding lines and professionalization of associations.
Health and Emergency: Animal first aid and the "One Health" approach.
Biodiversity: Renaturalization strategies and wildlife sanctuaries.
Communication: Techniques for effectively speaking on behalf of animals.
Urban Intervention: The relationship between associations, municipalities, and cat colonies.
What you should know: Conscious Eating: Reflecting the ethics of the event, all catering will be 100% plant-based.
