As part of promoting scientific research and Iberian cooperation in marine sciences, the XVI Iberian Meeting on Harmful Microalgae and Marine Biotoxins (REDIBAL 2026) will take place from May 27 to 29, 2026, in Faro.
This meeting will gather researchers and professionals in marine sciences from the Iberian Peninsula to discuss the impacts of harmful microalgae and marine biotoxins on aquaculture, fisheries, and coastal tourism, promoting the exchange of scientific knowledge and sharing best practices in monitoring and management.

- Abstract Submission: until April 6, 2026 👉 Students must indicate their status and attach proof of enrollment to be eligible for the Best Student Presentation Award.
- Registration: free until April 6, 2026

🌍 Social Program
- Guided Tour – May 29, 2:30 PM Guided tour of the historic center of Faro and the Municipal Museum of Faro (free participation).
- Closing Dinner – May 29, 7:00 PM Optional participation, costs borne by participants. More information about the location and price will be announced soon.

The organization expects to welcome the scientific community in Faro for another edition of REDIBAL, combining an excellent scientific program with moments of conviviality and sharing.
