"Voices in My Head!" - XXXVII Teatro do Levante

The cultural association Ideias do Levante, in partnership with the Municipality of Lagoa (Algarve), will present the forty-seventh theatrical production of Ideias do Levante, titled "Voices in My Head", on June 14, 2026, at the auditorium of the Centro Cultural do Convento S. José, at 17:00. The script and direction are by Mário Rui Filipe. The cast will consist of members of the Ideias do Levante Amateur Theater Group. The performance will be entirely presented in Portuguese.

Mário Rui Filipe was inspired by texts by Filipe Pereira and Martim Santos that address two distinct realities: the life of artists in the present and the pain of friends who get lost in the world of addiction. At the same time, they explore the voices that echo in the minds of those with memory — voices that wish to fix the past but, between the conscious and the unconscious, disturb to the point of questioning an entire existence. These are contemporary texts that, immersed in the present, serve to convey a message of hope and resilience in difficult times.

The cast will include Joana Santos, Laura Vicente, Maria Pacheco, Pedro Rodrigues, Rita Beja, and Rui Martins.

Notes: There is a small parking area near the cultural center with about 20 spaces. The concert is free, open to ages 12 and older, and limited to the existing capacity. Although it is a free event, any donation will be welcome to help the Ideias do Levante association.
