Surf & Rescue

Praia da Rocha will host, on May 28, the Surf & Rescue project, an initiative that reinforces the connection between surfing and aquatic rescue.

Promoted by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal and the Institute for Shipwrecked Rescue, this program includes theoretical and practical training aimed at surfers, coaches, and lifeguards, with the goal of developing essential skills in safety, rescue, and first aid in aquatic environments.

Recognizing the active role of the surfing community in supporting risky situations at sea, this partnership aims to equip participants with fundamental knowledge that allows them to act more safely, effectively, and structured in emergency scenarios, contributing to safety on beaches along the entire national coast.
