Portimão is a finalist in the 7 Wonders of Portugal

The Municipality of Portimão celebrates the advancement of three of its heritage sites to the public voting phase of the "7 Wonders of Portugal®" contest, after evaluation by the Panel of Experts, which selected the finalists from among 328 national applications.

This distinction represents a significant recognition of the historical, cultural, architectural, and identity value of the municipality, highlighting the importance of these spaces in the collective memory and in affirming Portimão as a reference territory.

Portimão has three finalists in the following categories:

Category XXI Portimão Arena 7 Wonders of Portugal – Portimão Arena

Category Great Works Marina de Portimão 7 Wonders of Portugal – Marina de Portimão

Category Tourism Museu de Portimão 7 Wonders of Portugal – Museu de Portimão

The 147 finalists will now advance to the next phases of the contest, starting with the regional semi-finals scheduled for June 13, to be broadcast live on TVI. The final winners will be announced at the final gala, expected on September 12, also broadcast live.

The Municipality of Portimão invites the entire population to participate in this initiative, voting and contributing to the appreciation and affirmation of local heritage at the national level.
