"Do not look for us in Compasses. Look for us in the wind, in the forbidden songs... in the hands that still know how to bury seeds. We were not taken. We were multiplied. When there is no more body... there will still be memory. When the tongue is torn out... the song will echo in the spirit. Do not look for us in maps... because maps lie. They drew lines where there were sacred rivers, wrote European names over villages that spoke with the ancestors. They erased us with ink... but our soul flowed through the veins of the earth.
