Lecture "The Great Vortex of Misinformation" at the Municipal Library

The Municipal Library of Portimão will host Inês Cardoso, journalist and current general director of "JN", "TSF", and "O Jogo".

Inês Cardoso will talk about the misinformation present on social media and the difficulty in finding credible sources.

The journalist will also address the risks of "fake news" and how they influence our perception of the world and the health of our democracy.

Biography:

A journalist since 1998, the year she debuted at "Jornal de Notícias", Inês Cardoso joined the founding team of "i" in 2009.

She returned to JN in 2014 to join the Board and is currently the editorial general director of Notícias Ilimitadas, which owns JN, TSF, and O Jogo, among other titles.

She has covered various areas, particularly Internal Administration and Justice.

She comments on current affairs on RTP and TSF, but also diverges into imaginary worlds in children's books, the latest of which is "Grandma's Hands" (Kalandraka).
