Program of the National Ballet Company that celebrates the strength and intimacy of the encounter between two presences on stage. Marked by timelessness, this cycle of duets brings together creations from different choreographers exploring multiple choreographic languages – from classical to contemporary – highlighting the richness of dance for two. Each piece is a universe of its own, where emotion, tension, complicity, and contrast intersect in a physical and expressive dialogue that transcends time and styles. Only Duos is an invitation to contemplate dance in its purest state, through the delicacy and intensity that only two people can share.

About the National Ballet Company: For nearly five decades, the National Ballet Company (CNB) has presented reference works from the ballet repertoire, both classical and contemporary, by international choreographers such as George Balanchine, Kurt Jooss, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, Jiří Kylián, Mauro Bigonzetti, Ohad Naharin, Martha Graham, Hofesh Shechter, Alexander Ekman, and many others. At the same time, it invests in commissions that generate a repertoire with its own identity, highlighting invitations to Portuguese creators such as Armando Jorge, Olga Roriz, Rui Lopes Graça, Vasco Wellenkamp, Fernando Duarte, Filipe Portugal, or Miguel Ramalho, as well as established choreographers in the field of dance and independent theater, such as: Rui Horta, Paulo Ribeiro, Tiago Rodrigues, Victor Hugo Pontes, Tânia Carvalho, Clara Andermatt, Marco da Silva Ferreira, or Sónia Baptista. Since September 2024, choreographer Fernando Duarte has assumed the artistic direction of the CNB.

Free parking - The Centro Cultural de Lagos and the Municipal Library of Lagos offer free parking in the Frente Ribeirinha park (Avenida dos Descobrimentos) for the audience of their shows/events. To receive this discount, the user must present, at the reception of the park, a stamp obtained at the ticket office of the Centro Cultural de Lagos or the entrance of the Municipal Library of Lagos. The offer only applies to one hour before and up to one hour after each show/event.
