Nell’ Est is a solo show by puppeteer Catin Nardi for all audiences, presenting a sequence of characters from Eastern culture intertwined with the story of each artistic figure. The show provides a journey through various aspects of the fantastic, mythological, and traditional universe of the oldest cultures in the world. Ideal for theater halls, it can also be presented in open spaces.
BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Catin Nardi - puppeteer, actor-manipulator, and director of the Navegante Puppet Theater. Graduated in Performing Arts from the Federal University of Ouro Preto, MG, Brazil. Specialist in puppet theater, dedicated entirely to theater since 1981, he has received several scholarships in Theater and Puppet Theater. He presents his shows, exhibitions, and workshops at Festivals, Theaters, and Cultural Circuits. He develops puppet work for Television. The opening of the soap opera “AS FILHAS DA MÃE” and the miniseries “HOJE E DIA DE MARIA 1 and 2” from Rede Globo TV are some of his important television productions. He conducts research on mechanics, creation, and production of string puppets, theatrical montages with puppets, and dramaturgy for Puppet Theater in his own cultural space. Workshops for beginners in puppet creation and construction. Advertising and propaganda, interventions, and television documentaries, in addition to regular presentations of his shows. Based in Brazil since 1990, Catin Nardi has participated since 1994 with the shows of the Navegante Puppet Theater in the most important festival circuits in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
