May Plays with the Heart at 'Dominguinhos' of MAR Shopping Algarve

As part of the global company Ingka Centres, MAR Shopping Algarve promotes play as an essential tool for learning. 'Dominguinhos' is an educational project that offers a set of free activities every Sunday at 11:00 AM in the children's area on Floor 0, next to the Centroxogo/IKEA store. The cultural program includes playful and educational experiences for children and families in the community, promoting development and socializing while reinforcing the concept of Meeting Place.

In May, affection is at the center of the program and invites children and families to experience where creating, singing, imagining, and playing happen together. Throughout the month, you will explore artistic expression through meaningful portraits, discover music as a form of emotional sharing, enter magical stories that speak of friendship, and participate in games. Ready for fun?

'Fitinhas' | Zootopia 2 (May 2) The Zootopia police face a new mystery that threatens the balance between predators and prey. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde join forces again to investigate a conspiracy spreading across different neighborhoods of the city, revealing old tensions and well-kept secrets. As trust is put to the test, the duo realizes that true justice requires more than good intentions. A new adventure about prejudice, cooperation, and the courage to change systems from within.

This initiative is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and companions (maximum of two adults and five people per group) and starts at 10:30 AM. For each session, 450 tickets are available, which can be picked up at the information desk from Monday to Friday, during the opening hours of MAR Shopping Algarve, always in the week the session takes place. 'DOMINGUINHOS' PROGRAMMING MAY May 3 | Artistic Workshop – Portrait of My Mother (Mother's Day) The month begins with an invitation to careful observation and affection translated into color. Children create portraits inspired by their mothers or caregiving figures, using mixed techniques, different materials, and a lot of creative freedom.

May 10 | Songs & Dance – Singing with Heart Music becomes a language of affection in a small participatory show dedicated to families. Simple songs, familiar melodies, and moments of sharing help children gain confidence, explore musical memory, and express emotions through voice and body.

May 17 | Children's Theater – The Enchanted Garden Among talking flowers and curious butterflies, a magical story about friendship, care, and coexistence is born. This tale transports the youngest to a garden where differences coexist in harmony, stimulating imagination, empathy, and sensitivity to others. A moment of listening and fantasy that opens space for emotional reflection in a light and symbolic way.
