Introduction to Bitcoin
On the next 18th of May, between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, there will be a lecture titled "Introduction to Bitcoin" at the Green Amphitheater of Building 8, led by Nikola Grgić from the University of Split, as part of the theme Cryptocurrency Technologies.
The session aims to introduce the main technical concepts associated with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency technologies, addressing the historical context of Bitcoin as a decentralized digital currency system, as well as fundamental concepts such as transactions, blocks, blockchain, mining, and digital wallets.
A brief practical component will also be presented using tools such as Bitcoin Core and Electrum, allowing an introductory distinction between full node wallets and SPV wallets.
The lecture may be of particular interest to students in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networks, Information Security, and Emerging Technologies, and is open to the entire academic community.
