On June 26, at 18:00, the Municipal Library of Lagoa will host the presentation of the book Lighthouse, Lights on the Way to São Vicente, by Clara Andrade. The work will be presented by Professor Carlos Café and admission is free!

Clara Andrade has been responsible for the Municipal Library of Lagoa since 1996. She holds a degree in philosophy and has also taught secondary education in various schools in the Algarve. She paints, reads, and writes. She has several published books, some of which are award-winning.

Lighthouse, Lights on the Way to São Vicente is not a guide or a study about the Way to São Vicente. It is a fictional narrative. An imagined and drawn story about the pilgrimage route that actually existed from the 8th century to the 12th century and has already become a legend.

It is Júlia, the main character of this narrative, who tells in the first person the adventures of the journey that she, along with two friends, travels from Mértola to Cape São Vicente.

It will also be an intimate journey through the depths of her dreams and nightmares, fears and desires, where hopes and exhaustion mix, all transformed into lived experience.

It is the metaphor of life. A journey of discovery, made of laughter and tears, of joys and discouragements.

Come and discover this work by Clara Andrade on June 26, at the Municipal Library of Lagoa.

We count on you! 🤗😊👌
