Nélson Santos, 73 years old, originally from Tomar and residing in Portimão, after a stroke in 2023, began, as a form of therapy, the exercise of his manual skill, an area in which he has always shown great aptitude, thus contributing to the recovery of his cognitive abilities.

These paintings resulted from that therapy, which are simultaneously an example of tenacity and persistence in the face of adversity.
