Session focusing on the show #HASHTAGFREE, by Quórum Dance Company.
The Emancipated Viewer Club is an initiative of AORCA, in partnership with the Cultural Center of Lagos, that uses cultural mediation and the sharing of artistic experiences as a meeting point and stimulus for dialogue and critical thinking.
Inspired by the thought of philosopher Jacques Rancière, the Club invites each participant to take an active role in relation to the artistic work, valuing their own interpretations, emotions, and ways of feeling what happens on stage. More than explaining the shows, it creates meeting spaces between the audience, artists, and mediators, promoting new ways of relating to art and the community.
Throughout the year, participants are invited to join pre-show sessions that deepen contact with different artistic proposals presented at the Cultural Center of Lagos, enriching the enjoyment experience and encouraging collective reflection on the themes and languages addressed.
