Multimedia concert by Victor Gama with Portuguese harpist Salomé Pais Matos, featuring compositions for Acrux and Toha, two instruments from the INSTRMNTS series and video projection from the Tectonik project: Tombwa in the Namibe desert.
Gama develops a sound palette that combines polyrhythmic patterns and ostinatos from southern Africa, particularly Angola. Using instruments he created himself, he expands the horizons of his musical composition system and theory, integrating ancestral knowledge and traditions with digital technologies and contemporary practices.
Over the past fifteen years, this concert has been presented at festivals and venues, such as Carnegie Hall in New York at the invitation of the celebrated Kronos Quartet, the Centro Cultural de Belém, Dinkelspiel Hall at Stanford in California, the Oluzayo Festival in Cologne, among many others.
The show attracts both fans of world music and those who appreciate avant-garde, improvised, and electronic music.
