3rd International Portugal-USA Summer Course in Cancer Research May 15, 2026 The Algarve will host two Nobel Prize winners as part of the 3rd International Portugal-USA Summer Course in Cancer Research. The public session of this specialized meeting will take place on May 15, at 14:30, in the Grand Auditorium of the University of Algarve, Gambelas Campus (Faro). American William G. Kaelin Jr., Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology 2019, and American James P. Allison, Nobel Prize in Medicine 2018, are two of the participants in this session that contributes to the affirmation of the Algarve in the fields of science, innovation, and biomedical research. Organized by the University of Algarve, in partnership with the Algarve Biomedical Center, the 3rd International Portugal-USA Summer Course in Cancer Research is a unique opportunity to showcase relevant advances in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, anticipating an open session for the community to bring it closer to scientific knowledge.
